Automatic fettling and cutting machines are the answer for foundries concerned about ‘vibration white finger disease’ - machines are mounted on swivel stands or suspended from gantries.
Surtech’s automatic fettling and cutting machines are the answer for foundries concerned about ‘vibration white finger disease’. Machines are mounted on swivel stands or suspended from gantries with motorised height adjustments and horizontal travel. Contact pressures are applied via a pneumatic cylinder.

The operator simply guides the machine but no longer has to apply the cutting or grinding pressure.

Vibrations are considerably reduced.

Cutting and grinding heads can be tilted and swivelled.

All machines are available in fully automated versions with all movements and the contact pressure remote controlled via a joy stick.

Both cutting and grind machines can be supplied with drive motors from 10 to 75HP and with cutting and grinding speeds can be from 40m/sec to 80m/sec.

To facilitate operations parts can be fixed in an optional clamping table with hydraulic or pneumatic jaws.

To fully comply with the latest Health and Safety Recommendations machines are mounted inside acoustic booths with built in dust extraction units.
